Malt beverages are produced from the same raw materials as beer; water, barley (malt) and hops. They have a similar process, with the exception of fermentation, in their manufacture. During the brewing process, the starch in the grain is converted into sugars. In beer, these sugars are transformed into alcohol during the fermentation process. Malt beverages are not fermented. Malt beverages have a naturally high content of B vitamins.
